A cohabiting couple is found dead in the furniture showroom they ran together. The case is entrusted to the new superintendent Salvatore Sciacca who gains the trust of his new colleagues every day. The investigation initially focuses on the family of the woman killed but thanks to his intuition Sciacca will be able to correctly reconstruct a fragmentary mosaic of clues.

The body of a young woman is found at the bottom of an escarpment while Sciacca and Battiston deal with the mysterious kidnapping of a baby who had been entrusted to the babysitter. The little one could be in serious danger because he has respiratory problems.
