The investigation initially focuses on the family of the woman killed but thanks to his intuition Sciacca will be able to correctly reconstruct a fragmentary mosaic of clues.

The body of a young woman is found at the bottom of an escarpment while Sciacca and Battiston deal with the mysterious kidnapping of a baby who had been entrusted to the babysitter. The little one could be in serious danger because he has respiratory problems.
