13x4 - Being guest at Maria Neher in Oberschwaben

Five children, small animals and 100 dairy cows and their female offspring: Maria Neher in Granheim in the Sigmaringen district has a lot going on. Together with her husband, she runs a fourth-generation dairy farm with 50 hectares each of arable land and grassland. Maria is a trained medical assistant and the welfare of her animals is very close to her heart. That's why they didn't want a large farm. Maria and Martin had even considered giving up the farm. Their solution: three vacation homes, since 2018 as a second mainstay. Maria grew up as one of seven children on a farm with cows and pigs. She met Martin when she was 17. Her compensation is music. She has sung in the church choir since childhood and plays the organ and piano. Meanwhile she is a part-time organist and leads the local church choir. (Text: SWR)
