Accusing Laxmi Bai of killing her brother-in-law King Shivraj and her army commander, and of being a riotous ruler, Larai Sarkar sentences her to death as Nelson and her other allies watch.

After making the British troops leave the kitchen by giving them laxatives, Tatya Tope, Ghaus Khan and Raghunath make Rao Dulhajo link the bomb to the cake. The British sharpshooters activate their deadly plan. As Mac outshines Larai Sarkar, a sharpshooter aims at Laxmi Bai but can't kill her due to Tatya Tope blocking his vision. Before Larai Sarkar loses officially, Laxmi Bai challenges Mac to fence. Rose urges Mac to kill her while fencing.

Karma says that he suspects it is Hugh Rose. Laxmibai asks everyone to be on high alert. Meanwhile, Hugh Rose promises to seek revenge from Laxmibai. In England, Queen Victoria is furious hearing about the turn of events. She is then informed that Hugh Rose is still alive. Meanwhile, Nana Saheb tells Laxmibai that if the powerful kings of Gwalior, Datia and Banda join the revolution, then they could be victorious in acquiring independence.

He further asserts that he wants to join her in the revolution against the British. Meanwhile, Hamilton suggests to Hugh Rose to divert Laxmibai's mind from her goal. Later, Laxmibai is shocked to receive a letter from the King of Scindia about his refusal to join the June 23 revolution, little realising that it is a British ploy. Back in the palace, the prize distribution ceremony for children is on, but when Damodar's name is announced for the best performer, he does not turn up.

Damodar regains consciousness and starts banging on the chest, so Hugh Rose renders him unconscious again. When they are locking Damodar in the chest, his ring falls on the ground. A worried Laxmibai goes searching for Damodar and comes across his ring. She then realises that he has been kidnapped. Meanwhile, Tatya Tope orders Hugh Rose who is in disguise to open the chest but finds nothing. Just then, they hear a child crying and run towards the cart. However, it turns out to be another child. Hugh Rose takes this chance and escapes from Jhansi with the chest. On the other hand, Rao Dulajo asks Hamilton to recognise him. After leaving Jhansi, Hugh Rose recalls how Rao Dulajo had got the chests exchanged and kept Damodar in the commissionerate itself! Laxmibai tells Moropant that Damodar has been abducted by none other than the British. Meanwhile, at the commissionerate, Damodar wakes up and recalls Hugh Rose kidnapping him. Raghunath orders his men to search all the missionaries at the commissionerate. Just then, Tatya Tope tells him that Laxmibai has summoned all the ministers. At the market place, Raghunath and Rao Dulajo bump into each other. Raghunath does recognise the voice but by then, Rao Dulajo has left. He informs Laxmibai about it, so she asks him to search for Rao Dulajo. Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo sneaks into the palace but is cornered by Laxmibai and Raghunath. Rao Dulajo informs Laxmibai that Damodar is held hostage at the commissionerate along with the missionaries. On the other hand, Hamilton and the other officers ill-treat Damodar. However, he gets the shock of his life seeing Laxmibai barge into the commissionerate!

Laxmibai and her confidantes fight with Hamilton and his men, and so does Rao Dulajo. Just then, Damodar cries out to her mother to save him but Hamilton takes Damodar away. However, Laxmibai manages to rescue him from Hamilton. She ties Damodar on her back and chases Hamilton. Laxmibai then throws a rope at him and drags him. Hamilton gets surrounded by Laxmibai and her confidantes, including Rao Dulajo. She beheads Hamilton and then burn him as a shocked Hugh Rose watches the incident from a distance. An injured Laxmibai refuses to get herself treated till Damodar recovers. Later, Laxmibai and Moropant are delighted when Damodar regains consciousness but their happiness is short-lived when they learn that he has lost his voice. Meanwhile, Raghunath informs Laxmibai that the enraged subjects of Jhansi want even the missionaries sent out of their kingdom because they believe that the missionaries had supported the East India Company in kidnapping Damodar. At the commissionerate, Ghaus Khan is unable to continue the fury of the mob at the commissionerate. Raghunath requests Moropant to pacify the subjects of Jhansi. When the news about Damodar losing his voice reaches the mob, their fury knows no bounds! Moropant intervenes and pleads them to support their queen in this time of crisis.

The messenger informs Laddi that she has been summoned to the palace as the prince had stopped smiling and may have lost his voice. Laxmibai voices her worries to Gangadhar and vows to save Jhansi and its throne. Meanwhile, Hugh Rose is informed that the missionaries are being sent to Jhokan Baug to protect them. When Raghunath is taking away the missionaries, they are confronted by the subjects of Jhansi. A man in the crowd named Bakshish Ali voices his anger against the British. Ghaus Khan tells Raghunath that Bakshish Ali once worked for the British but had turned against them when the British had killed his family. Bakshish Ali and Ghaus Khan get into a war of words with the former inciting the crowd to attack the missionaries because they were responsible for the prince losing his voice but Raghunath stops them and asks them to heed their queen. Ghaus Khan asks them to wait for the queen's decision.

Laxmibai recalls Gangadhar saying that he would never touch English medicines, so she declines the doctor's help. Laxmibai says that she is sure there must be some Indian who will cure her son. Just then, Laddi arrives and displays her antics. Damodar smiles and Laxmibai rewards Laddi. Laxmibai asks Laddi to stay in the palace so that Damodar can recover fully. Meanwhile, an enraged Bakshish Ali is refused permission to meet Laxmibai, so he turns violent. The Prime Minister and Moropant go to meet the angry mob who demand the blood of the missionaries. Laxmibai then declares that the missionaries must leave Jhansi if its subjects were unhappy. However, she asserts that they would not be harmed as long as they were in Jhansi. On the other hand, Hugh Rose refuses to save the missionaries.

Moropant tells Laxmibai that he would write a letter to inform the subjects about the same. When Moropant is writing the letter, he goes to get the royal seal, and just then, Damodar takes the letter away. Moropant runs behind him. Damodar hits against a pillar and drops the letter before collapsing. A man exchanges the letter. Meanwhile, Moropant takes Laddi into confidence and says that they must find a way to get the English medicines for Damodar. Laddi goes out of the palace and gets the English medicines. On her way back, Laddi sees English soldiers dressing up as locals and planning a massacre. Back in the palace, Moropant then puts the royal seal on the letter without reading it and gives it to the Prime Minister. On the other hand, Ghaus Khan reads the queen's decision and is shocked that she wants the missionaries killed!

Nana Saheb shares his plan of asking the patriotic Indian soldiers in the British army to sabotage the British army's attack on Jhansi with Tatya Tope.

The tribals refuse to trust Laxmi Bai and so do the others. Laxmi Bai defends herself, and the revolutionaries pledge their allegiance to the freedom movement. On seeing someone eavesdropping, Laxmi Bai follows him and chances upon a telegraphic machine being used to communicate with the British and finds a finger ring in the machine. Karma is absconding and, being the only one who knows how to operate the telegraphic machine, everyone suspects him. Karma admits that the finger ring is his.

A wounded Karma sees Laddi sending a telex message to Rose, apprising him of the venue for the meeting of the revolutionaries in Gwalior. Laxmi Bai leaves alone for the battle and sees Kali, a tribal girl. Kali finds Karma, who has been knifed by Laddi.

Capturing Laxmi Bai's fellow revolutionaries, Rose holds her at gunpoint. A fearless Laxmi Bai threatens Rose, who confirms her suspicion that Laddi is the British mole in her palace. Laxmi Bai gets shot and Karma, along with Kali and her fellow tribals, joins Laxmi Bai. In combat, Laxmi Bai and Karma get gravely injured. Before escaping, Laxmi Bai hoists Jhansi's flag on the cantonment. Upon seeing the arrival of a lifeless Laxmi Bai and Karma on horseback, Laddi decides to kill Damodar.

He challenges Raghunath for a duel and, faking his disability, overpowers him. Rao Dulhajo removes the fake sixth toe from his feet and is pleased with his feat.

Damodar sees Rao Dulhajo standing on his two legs. Rao Dulhajo threatens Damodar. Damodar breaks the telex machine. Unable to communicate with Rose, Rao Dulhajo gets restless. From the Orchha gate, where he is deputed, he calls his name loud and clear for the British to hear. Kashi questions him.

Having conveyed his presence at the Orchha gate to the British, Rao Dulhajo sends all the soldiers away and, professing his love for Kashi, urges her to join him. On Kashi's refusal, he slashes her throat. Rao Dulhajo opens the Orchha gate. A bloody war ensues, and the people are taken into the palace. Kali takes Kashi to the safety of the palace. Chimna Bai is worried for Moropant. Laxmi Bai tries to stop Rao Dulhajo, who opens the other gates of Jhansi. Laxmi Bai faces Rose and his army alone.

Kali and her Women's Army arrive to help Laxmibai fight Hugh Rose and his men! A bitter fight ensues. Karma informs that there is a huge British contingent waiting outside Jhansi. Laxmibai's confidantes advise Laxmibai to get inside the Fort of Jhansi and attack the British. Seeing that the British were numerically stronger than them, Laxmibai agrees to go to the fort. All the citizens of Jhansi are brought inside the palace. Meanwhile, just as they enter the palace, Laxmibai sees Damodar waiting outside. Hugh Rose begins firing around Damodar. Laxmibai goes to save him. Karma and Raghunath too arrive just in and rescue Laxmibai and Damodar. Meanwhile, the East India Company hoists their flag in Jhansi.

In the palace, Kashi succumbs to her injuries but before breathing her last, she apologises to Laxmibai for failing to protect the Orchha exit. Laxmibai vows to Rao Dulajo that she will seek vengeance from him for Kashi's death. Just then, Ghaus Khan fires at the British camp but Hugh Rose manages to remain unscathed. Laxmibai tries to fire the cannon but it does not work! Raghunath informs Laxmibai that all the cannons were rendered useless! Laxmibai asks Ghaus Khan to repair them. Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo suggests to Hugh Rose to hide in a mausoleum with his men. The British continue to fire at Laxmibai's men from there but Laxmibai's soldiers watch helplessly.

Laxmibai vows not to let Ghaus Khan's sacrifice go a waste. Laxmibai orders that his last rites be observed as per the Islamic customs. Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo tells Hugh Rose that Laxmibai has no cannons nor does anybody know how to make explosives. However, Hugh Rose is worried because he has no cannons and his army is depleting. Rao Dulajo tells him of a plan. At the palace, there is nobody to offer the last prayers to Ghaus Khan, so Laxmibai asks Bakshish Ali, a once sworn enemy of Ghaus Khan, to do the needful. On the other hand, Rao Dulajo reaches with his men near the granary of the palace and burns it, while Karma and Kali fight Hugh Rose and his men. Laxmibai and the others finish with the formalities of burying Ghaus Khan. She then runs towards the granary and finds the food grains on fire. Just then, an explosion occurs and Laxmibai is injured. Seeing this, Hugh Rose orders a ceasefire.

With already enough troubles in her hand, Laxmibai is shocked to find even the water adulterated. Laxmibai feels helpless seeing her citizens, especially children, hungry. Inside the palace, Chimnabai taunts Moropant that her unborn baby has to remain hungry because of Laxmibai! Laxmibai arrives then and sees that her maid is about to feed Damodar. She narrates the story of Lord Krishna to Damodar who had only one morsel of rice when he had unexpectedly come to meet Draupadi, so Damodar too has only one grain of rice. Laxmibai gives the food to Chimnabai. Overwhelmed, Chimnabai refuses to have the food at the cost of Damodar remaining hungry. Karma and Laxmibai are relieved when they see that sacks of food grains have arrived. However, they get shocked seeing the mutilated body of a food trader! Laxmibai reads the letter sent by Hugh Rose saying that his men were hungrier, so they decided to keep the ration for themselves!

Help arrives in the form of Tatya Tope who arrives in Jhansi with his battalion. Laxmibai meets her wounded soldiers and tends to them. She then exhorts them to fight for their motherland. The soldiers promise to fight against the British till their last breath! Tatya Tope discusses his strategy against the British with his men. Laxmibai gallops alone towards the fort's exit gates and orders that it be opened. Laxmibai's confidantes ask the subjects to go out of the fort from the rear exit, while the British continue to shoot indiscriminately. In the process, Moropant gets shot in his leg. Rao Dulajo warns Laxmibai that she has been surrounded and asks her to surrender. Karma sends away everyone to safety and then locks the exit to fight the British alone! Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo comes to attack Laxmibai from behind and Damodar manages to regain his voice just in time to warn her. Laxmibai turns and beheads Rao Dulajo. Just then Hugh Rose goes to fire at her but Karma takes the bullet instead. Karma is shot, while Laxmibai kills many British soldiers. Laxmibai and Karma gallop away on their horses and reach the palace.
